We are a group that initially came together to knit hats for premature babies in the Third World.  We knitted over 100 hats that were sent to these children  by 'Save the Children'.
 
We decided to keep meeting on the second and fourth Saturday morning each month in the Lighthouse between 10.30 to appx 12.30.  Two years later we are still meeting and now have about 15-20 members.  We have knitted items for Samaritans Purse Shoebox Appeal, and have just sent thirty blankets to an orphanage in Uganda.
 
We also have social events ... cake sales, meals, pamper nights, days out, and have lots of ideas for the future.  We hope to evolve into a social group and try more crafts.
 
People have been really generous with donations of wool, needles and money to support these projects and we are looking forward to our next group project .. whatever that may be!
